Owl City is the solo electronica musical project by American singer-songwriter Adam Young.
Young also records under the names Sky Sailing, Port Blue, Color Therapy, Insect Airport, Seagull Orchestra and his own name, Adam Young.
Young started out making music in in his basement in his hometown of Owatonna, Minnesota, United States, later developing a following through his MySpace profile before being signed to Universal Republic. Young has released seven albums under the Owl City moniker: "Maybe I'm Dreaming" (), "Ocean Eyes" (), "All Things Bright and Beautiful" (), "The Midsummer Station" (), "Mobile Orchestra" (), "Cinematic" (), and "Coco Moon" (). Young's single "Fireflies" reached #1 in the United States, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia and The Netherlands. His second major hit, 's "Good Time" featuring Carly Rae Jepsen reached #8 in the US and #1 in New Zealand.
He was also once a member of Windsor Airlift and Swimming with Dolphins, both of which he is no longer involved with.

Adam Randal Young (born July 5, )[7] is an American singer-songwriter and musician. He is best known as the founder and sole member of electronica project Owl City.[6] Outside of Owl City, Young has recorded music under different musical projects, most notably Port Blue and Sky Sailing.[8] In addition to these works, Young was part of the electronica band Swimming With Dolphins and post-rock band Windsor Airlift.[9][10]
Young has also collaborated with numerous musical artists such as Paul van Dyk, Chicane, Armin van Buuren, Schiller, Relient K, Jars of Clay, and Switchfoot. Young has composed music for brands such as Apple and Disney.
