Father Moses McPherson
Father Moses grew up in Southern California and married his wonderful wife, Ruth, in 2001. He pursued a double major in Philosophy and Religion at Redeemer University in Ontario, Canada. It was during their college years that Fr. Moses and Matushka Ruth discovered Orthodoxy, ultimately entering the Church in early 2007.
He earned his Master of Divinity from St. Tikhon’s Seminary in 2013, shortly before being ordained as a priest. Together, Father Moses and Ruth are blessed with five sons, whom they deeply cherish. They are grateful to have been led to Holy Mother of God Church in Texas.
In addition to his pastoral duties, Father Moses is an avid strength athlete, focusing primarily on powerlifting, and some strongman competitions. He enjoys coaching others in the sport, as well as woodworking.
