EPES - It's hard to get lost in downtown Epes, but for the life of me I couldn't find my way to the old French fort. I finally decided to ask the postmistress.

I passed the pink building with the sign reading "Nu-Image Style Shop," made the first right and drove my old Ford Explorer gingerly over the rattling grates of a cattle gap.
